Upon graduation students are supported for 12 months after graduation with employment, internship, and volunteer opportunities. During follow-up graduates are further connected to employers and employers are encouraged to provide positive changes in status to their JAG employees. Graduates enrolled in post-secondary institutions receive tutoring assistance or guidance to be successful in their courses. Follow-up is proactive with students being contacted monthly and employers every other month. Students who do not graduate on time receive special attention to assure they return to school or pursue other options to secure their high school diploma and then obtain quality employment.
Follow-up services also offer benefits to employers because they can save money and time by working with the JAG Coordinator to intervene and redirect an employee who is underperforming. This is vital because a youth just moving from job to job can affect the community as a whole. This steady and consistent support with the graduates ensures JAG graduates stay on track in their post high school endeavors.
